Travel time is the time for our team of movers to get to your first address from our warehouse plus the time to come back from your second address. It is calculated based on the hourly rate. We do not add traffic into the calculation as we understand that some areas of Boston can get extremely busy during a certain hour and we do not want you to be paying over for that. Our CRM uses a GPS in order to determine the travel time. Travel time is added to the amount of hours spent on your project itself (loading, unloading, and in between the addresses).
Travel time is individual for each client and will be based on the distance between their addresses and our warehouse plus the hourly rate they are getting.
The hourly rate includes all the protective materials for your belongings to eliminate damage, such as shrinks, wraps, blankets, tapes as well as all the expenses related to the truck, such as gas, mileage, tolls.
Packing supplies are not included in the hourly rate and will be charged per item based on the amount being used.
No, our company does not charge extra for the stairs. The Better Life Moving Manager is going to get all your information regarding the stairs and the amount of items you have in order to determine how many movers will be needed so you do not have to worry about extra fees associated with your stairs. We also make sure that the team is equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment for your items so no damage will occur.
Yes. Better Life Moving has a 2 hours minimum charge policy that includes travel time.
For example, if you have a small project that will take around 1 hour to complete and your travel time is 1 hour, you just completed the minimum requirement.
Our team will wrap every single piece of your furniture to make sure it is protected. Once loaded into the truck, they will use the straps to keep all your items in place.
Yes. Our company has its own storage facility where you can safely leave your belongings. We do offer individual storage units of different sizes depending on the amount of items you have.
Our storage facility has a 24/7 security system, each unit is equipped with A/C and professionally cleaned using all the guidelines in between the clients.
You can speak to our customer service team and they can help you in determining what size of storage is the most appropriate for you.

Yes. We do require a $100 deposit in order to book your reservation. It is applied to your service once the job is completed.
Yes, we take various projects including those that do not require a moving vehicle, such as furniture rearrangement within the building. We are here to assist you with any furniture moving needs that you might have regardless of whether a moving truck is required or not.
Tips are not required but very appreciated.
Long distance moves have a flat cost for the service. The rate system and travel time are not applied in these cases.
The cost will be determined based on the amount of items you have, the distance between your current and future addresses, as well as expenses related to the truck and labor.
Once everything is carefully analyzed and determined, the manager will give you a flat rate for the service.
